About

Luca Agnani is an Italian visual designer specializing in animation, architectural video mapping and immersive digital content. Since 2010 he has developed visual projects in which architecture becomes a narrative surface, transforming facades, monuments and urban spaces into dynamic scenes through light, motion and technology.

His research emerges from the meeting point between cinematic language, digital art and the enhancement of architectural heritage. Each project takes shape from the volumes, surfaces and identity of the place, with the aim of creating a dialogue between real space and a contemporary visual imaginary.

Over the years he has created monumental projections on major Italian and international architecture, distinguishing himself through a style capable of combining technical precision, aesthetic sensitivity and visual storytelling. Among his best-known works is Van Gogh Shadow, an animation project dedicated to the works of Vincent van Gogh, first presented at the Van Gogh Museum in Amsterdam and later developed as a touring multimedia experience.

In 2013 he won third prize at Circle of Light in Moscow, one of the leading international festivals dedicated to light art and video mapping. Since then, he has taken part in numerous cultural events and projects, creating works for iconic locations such as Piazza Unità d'Italia in Trieste, Palazzo Ducale in Genoa, the Hermitage in Saint Petersburg, the Basilica of San Petronio in Bologna and the Treasury of Petra in Jordan, for Petra Light Festival.

He has collaborated with institutions, festivals, cultural organizations and international brands, including LG, John Lewis, Van Gogh Museum, Farnesina, Mascagni Festival, Kernel Festival and Petra Light Festival, developing visual content for cultural projects, immersive installations, public events and large-scale visual communication.

His work today also extends to the use ofartificial intelligence as a creative tool for generating images, animations and visual environments. This integration expands the narrative possibilities of video mapping, creating content in which art, technology and imagination merge into immersive experiences with a strong emotional impact.

Through an approach that combines technical expertise and artistic vision, Luca Agnani continues to explore new forms of visual storytelling, transforming buildings, artworks and public spaces into luminous experiences that engage the viewer and redefine the perception of place.
