/ Overview
In 2022, Barcelona hosted a stage of the Farnesina Digital Art Experience, a touring collective exhibition dedicated to digital art and contemporary audiovisual languages. The project, promoted by the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation in collaboration with Bright Festival, brought an immersive room with works by Italian studios, including Luca Agnani Studio, to the spaces of Espronceda – Institute of Art & Culture.

/ Challenge
The project was conceived as a touring collective exhibition designed to promote Italian research in digital and audiovisual languages abroad. The challenge was to transform the exhibition space into an immersive environment capable of bringing the audience inside the works through projections, sound, storytelling and multimedia technologies.

The exhibition brings together works by numerous Italian digital art studios, building a collective path dedicated to the most innovative forms of contemporary audiovisual storytelling.
Immersive environment
The immersive room uses projection, sound and space to envelop visitors, transforming the viewing of the work into a physical and participatory experience.

The selection highlights the production of Italian studios, including Luca Agnani Studio, within a project promoted by the Farnesina to spread Italian digital creativity abroad.

The Farnesina Digital Art Experience transforms the exhibition space into a continuous audiovisual environment, where the works become digital landscapes to walk through. The project builds a bridge between cultural diplomacy, contemporary art and technological innovation, presenting a collective vision of Italian digital creativity in Barcelona.

The works are presented through projection systems and immersive setups designed to expand the image beyond the screen and involve the entire environment.
Exhibition setup
The installation was designed for the spaces of Espronceda – Institute of Art & Culture, on the occasion of Loop City Screen and with the support of Italian institutions in Spain.
Audio-visual language
Sound, image and movement build a multisensory narrative in which the audience becomes an integral part of the immersive experience.

The Barcelona stage of the Farnesina Digital Art Experience was hosted by Espronceda – Institute of Art & Culture on the occasion of Loop City Screen. The exhibition was organized with the support of the Italian Cultural Institute in Barcelona, the Italian Embassy in Madrid, the Consulate General and Bright Festival.
