Immersive Spaces
SITE-SPECIFIC AUDIOVISUAL INSTALLATIONS
LEIPZIG / MILAN / BARCELONA
/ Overview
Luca Agnani Studio designs immersive environments where image, sound and architecture become a single experience. Each intervention begins with the identity of the space: surfaces, proportions, memory of the place and relationship with the audience. Interminati Spazi, a tribute to Leopardi and his Infinito, and Frammenti, an abstract composition of light and moving geometries, represent two different directions within the same research: transforming a physical space into a sensitive narrative.

/ Concept
Each installation is conceived as a site-specific organism: not content placed on walls, but an experience built around the characteristics of the place. The project may begin with a poetic text, a cultural theme, a visual identity or a purely abstract intuition. In every case, the goal is to create a space that is not simply observed, but crossed, perceived and remembered.
/ Development
Kunstkraftwerk Leipzig
Kunstkraftwerk Leipzig is a converted former industrial space, characterized by large volumes, monumental walls and irregular surfaces. Interminati Spazi was conceived to dialogue with that scale: the poetic text becomes landscape, the voice crosses the environment and the walls become the visual matter of Leopardi’s verses.
MEET Digital Culture Center
At MEET Digital Culture Center in Milan, an Italian reference point for international digital culture, Frammenti enters the Italian Digital Art Experience program, curated by Stefano Fake. The work abandons linear narration and builds an environment made of fractures, depth, geometric explosions and luminous recompositions.
Espronceda Barcelona
At Espronceda Institute of Art & Culture in Barcelona, a center dedicated to contemporary and digital artistic research, Frammenti is re-staged as part of Loop City Screen, a project promoted by Bright Festival. The work adapts to a new environment while maintaining its strength: a visual structure capable of changing scale, rhythm and spatial perception.
/ Timeline
Interminati Spazi was created in 2020 for the Farnesina Digital Art Experience: a 3D figure of Giacomo Leopardi recites L’Infinito inside a monumental audiovisual environment at Kunstkraftwerk Leipzig. In 2022, with Frammenti, the path moves toward the opposite language: no text, no character, no explicit narration. Only light, rhythm, volume and geometries that explode and recompose in space.
/ Exhibition
Interminati Spazi / Leipzig
Interminati Spazi translates poetry into an environment. A three-dimensional figure of Leopardi recites L’Infinito while the space opens, expands and becomes an audiovisual landscape. Presented at Kunstkraftwerk Leipzig on October 23, 2020, as part of the Farnesina Digital Art Experience, the project creates an encounter between literary memory, 3D modeling and immersive projection.
Bright Festival / MEET Milan
Frammenti is a work created for Bright Festival, built on three-dimensional geometries, cuts of light and constantly transforming structures. There is no text and no declared story: the experience emerges from visual rhythm and the relationship between body, space and perception. Presented at MEET Digital Culture Center as part of the Italian Digital Art Experience, curated by Stefano Fake.
Bright Festival / Barcelona
The same installation is later re-staged atEspronceda Institute of Art & Culture in Barcelona, as part of Loop City Screen, organized by Bright Festival. The passage from Milan to Barcelona shows a fundamental quality of immersive work: the ability to adapt to different contexts without losing identity, intensity and perceptual precision.
/ Context & Legacy
Interminati Spazi and Frammenti start from opposite premises. The first begins with a voice, a text and a recognizable cultural reference. The second removes every narrative element and works on pure perception: form, light, movement, presence. Together they describe the versatility of immersive space: it can become story, memory, poetic landscape or abstract sensory experience. Each project is built to give viewers the feeling of entering the work, not simply looking at it.
